This item is from an estate, being a complete doll from approx the 1930s thru 40s. No makers identification is to be seen. The original costume (assumed to be) seems to be there, consisting of a plain gown over the cloth body, and a gingham dress and bonnet over all. The head is hard plastic of a type commonly found in use by major makers. It has molded hair, but, a wig was added, as was common at the time. The wig is now in tatters. There is a voice box in the stomach, not working, and she has sleep eyes. The eyes are not well set, and show some surface wear. All in all, a restoration challenge. The body is very sound, the clothing strong and whole, and the rubber limbs are soft, pliable and undamaged, with the rubber maintaining its proper qualities. Oder is very good, only a very slight mustiness. Face slightly dirty..................should clean up nicely......... worthwhile work to do!!!
